RescueSentry started with a simple, frustrating truth: good animals run out of time not because no one would take them, but because the right rescue never heard about them in time.
The problem we set out to solve
When a shelter has an animal on a deadline, placing it usually means a frantic round of phone calls and social-media posts — most to rescues who are full, wrong-species, or can't take that case. Meanwhile, rescues miss animals they could have helped because those animals are buried in group chats and forwarded emails. The match exists; the connection doesn't happen fast enough.
How we're different
RescueSentry isn't another all-in-one management suite. It does one thing well: get the right animal to the right rescue, fast. It encodes each rescue's real intake rules and capacity so shelters see only true options, ranks by urgency so time-sensitive animals surface first, and tracks each transfer to completion — while keeping contact details private until both sides commit.
Local roots, a wider mission
RescueSentry was built in the Rio Grande Valley by people who work in technology and care about animal welfare in the region — not a national platform parachuting in. It's designed around how rescue actually works, and it's free for the shelters and rescues doing that work, because the goal is animals saved, not subscriptions sold.
